For the record, politically I am a registered independent and identify myself as a conservative, along the lines of the Christian Democratic tradition. In the interests of full disclosure, I supported the McCain-Palin ticket.
I thought I’d provide a summary of all the Muslim terrorist organizations which are celebrating last night’s Obama-Biden victory:
“Hamas Praises Obama Win as ‘Historic Victory for World’”
“Moro Islamic Liberation Front Expresses Joy over Obama’s Historic Win”
“Indonesian Islamic Fundamentalists Cheer Obama Win”
“Jordan Islamists Cautiously Optimistic over Obama’s Election”
Now, I do not believe for one moment that Barack Obama is a closet-Muslim with Islamist sympathies. He’s your typical liberal Protestant, a proponent of socialism with a Christian veneer, devoid of any of the politically-incorrect content of Christian dogma and morality.
That having been said, he has been less-than-honest about his Muslim upbringing, and his long-standing associations and friendships with, and mentorship uder, Marxist terrorists (and their sympathizers). These friendships and associations are precisely what lead Muslim terrorists around the world to believe that an Obama presidency best serves their agenda.
Which is why he received the election-eve endorsement of al-Qaida . . .
And for those who still don’t believe Obama is a Marxist, I recommend a good perusal of Investor’s Business Daily’s excellent series on this question: “The Audacity of Socialism”. IBD’s economic libertarianism may not be completely to my taste, but there are some excellent points made about the philosophical underpinnings of Obama’s economic and social policies. God willing, the American system has enough checks and balanaces in place to mitigate whatever damage he might hope to inflict on this country’s moral and economic fabric. God willing, conservative Democrats and Republicans will find the wherewithal to protct and promote the common good in these regards.
Suffice it to say that I am utterly disgusted with the blatant racism of the African-American community, many of whose members (even professed conservatives!) rushed to support Obama for no other reason than his skin-color. Last night’s election was indeed historic, but not in a way I think will redound to the pride of this country’s Black community.
I hope I am wrong. If the Apostle Paul could enjoin honor to, and prayers for, the Emperor Nero, then Barack Obama is surely worthy of these same considerations. I refuse to disrespect him the way the Left has classlessly demeaned George W. Bush this last eight years. Obama will be my President come January 20, and I look forward to working with him to realise the potential of this country.
God save Barack Obama!
